Pcomp - Week 01

After almost 3 weeks I finally arrived in NYC and got my Pcomp kit. I was a bit overwhelmed by the idea of implementing the abstract information we learned in class and from the materials and videos on the website. At first I got familiar with using some tools at the shop like the wire cutter, and used it to expose the cores of wires. I also used the Multimeter to check electricity was running correctly in the first circuit of this week's lab.
This lab reminded me that in my process of learning things usually click only when I try them hands on. literally copying the diagrams (in the beginning) really helped me visualize these abstract concepts. later on I started converting it to the schematics.

Connecting the LED and the resistor to the breadboard helped me to better engrave the concepts of ground and voltage in my memory.

I felt better after finishing this assignment and felt like I started having a better understanding about electricty concepts ,the breadboard functions and what are the roles of different electronic components.
